Overview:The 2002 Survey of General Practice repeats the survey carried out in 1998. The key findings for 2002 indicate that in most aspects of primary care, the situation as reported by patients is largely unchanged from that reported in 1998. Key findings are presented for the following areas: contacting the surgery; prompt and convenient access; respect and dignity; confidence in clinical skills; involvement and choice; information and education; environment and facilities; GP preference; nurses; out of hours care; referrals.
